Michael Sly
Our principal and founder, Michael E. Sly, CFP®, CPA, has been actively involved in the financial services industry for over 30 years. He has worked closely with his clients to understand their issues, diagnose their needs and diligently formulate the appropriate financial solutions for current and future successes.
Mr. Sly began his career in a large international public accounting firm in Boston. After spending a number of years working in the world of large corporations, it was clear his enjoyment came from working closely with people, and helping them with the financial and business issues that affect their day-to-day choices, making a difference in their quality of life. With this realization, Mr. Sly established a certified public accounting firm in 1988 servicing individuals and small businesses in the financial areas of accounting, business consulting, cash flow management and tax planning/compliance. The Firm’s services were expanded in 1999 with the establishment of the current company, Strategic Financial Alliance LLC. Services were expanded to include comprehensive personal financial planning and investment advisory. Mr. Sly works as a centerpiece to his clients’ financial lives, coordinating all elements of investment, retirement, tax, estate, insurance and business planning.
Mr. Sly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College located in Claremont, California. He became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 1988 and obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificate in 2001. With these designations, he is held to the highest level of professional standards and ethics, which is evident in his approach to client service.
